The Bristol Festival of Puppetry is our top family activity for this newsletter! With everything from live shows, film, workshops and installations happening across the city. All centred around, you guessed it, puppets. The festival will have over 100 artists performing, 50 live performances including world and UK premieres and a heap of free events and activities, this months top pick is perfect for all the family.
The festival officially kicks off on the 26th of August at 12:00pm with the BFP Carnival Work Shops. They are inviting young people aged 12-16 to join them down at the Tobacco Factory Theatres. So drop the kids down there to get inspired, get creative and make a one off creation for the Carnival.
Don’t worry, as always there are many adult angled events to be enjoyed. Beginning with the opening party, which starts at 9:15pm down at the Watershead and looks to be a grand old time combining Animation, Music, Drinks and of course…. PUPPETS. This one is strictly 18+ and will run till late.
The main events are happening at:
Tobacco Factory Theaters
SS Great Britain
M Shed
Watershed
Other outdoor locations
Dates: 26th August 2015 - 6th of September 2015
